The Housing and Support Needs of Ex-Prisoners: The Role of the Supported Accomodation Assistance Program

This report describes the findings of research which has reviewed the current and potential role of the Supported Accommodation Assistance Program (SAAP) in meeting the housing and support needs of ex-prisoners in Tasmania. It has explored what part SAAP plays in the network of services working with this population and highlights opportunities for improving the effectiveness of esponses in the future. A brief section on models from of good practice from other states including South Australia is incorporated into the report.
