Voting in Local Government Elections

As part of the February 2006 McGregor Tan Household Omnibus Survey, two questions were asked of 403 Adelaide adults (aged 18+) and 103 in regional South Australia for the Local Government Association in order to investigate whether voting in Local Government elections should remain non compulsory.The majority of people support voluntary voting for Council elections (68%) according to this independently conducted community survey.
