In every community transport has been identified as a key determinant of health. Communities across the Northern and Far Western Health Region have highlighted the lack of transport links during consultations, and more recent studies have shown that transport is one of the key determinants of health for Aboriginal populations across the region. This report provides an overview of a project in which Department of Transport and Urban Planning was approached to provide advice and mentorship to help develop integrated transport models across the two regions.
