The Maternal Alienation Project began in August 2002 as a partnership initiative between Northern Metropolitan Community Health Service, Women's Health Statewide and the University of Adelaide. The overall project (3-year) had numerous aims including obtaining greater knowledge of maternal alienation evident in service design and delivery of those services involved in project and seeking to increase child protection through supporting mothers to protect and care for their children. This report outlines the outcomes of the project as well as a series of recommendations for service deliverers and other interested parties.
