Violence, Threats and Intimidation in the Lives of Professionals Whose Work Involves Children

Violence, threats and intimidation confront many professionals working in the area of child protection. The research described in this paper is the first of its kind in Australia. The results reveal that workers across a range of professions may be subjected to a variety of tressful and damaging behaviours that can impact on their long-term ability to protect children.
