Living Low Paid: Some Experiences of Australian Childcare Workers and Cleaners

This paper addresses issues surrounding low pay, drawing on focus groups and semi-structured
interviews with low paid childcare workers and cleaners in Adelaide and Melbourne in 2005/06. The research canvassed workers' experiences and thoughts on the effects of low pay for them personally, on their households and their level of community involvement.
