Andrew Beer, Debbie Faulkner and Michelle Gabriel find that a number of overlapping processes have contributed to changes in `housing careers' or housing consumption patterns in recent years, which have seen, for example, a growing number of individuals living with their parents into their 20s and 30s. Factors promoting these changes include shifts in attitudes, demography, government policies and working patterns.
