The Northern suburbs of Adelaide were chosen as the preferrred site to commence this Project as access to health services is a critical issue for this population.
The Community Midwives Project
(739.01K) An Evaluation of the Set-up of the Northern Women's Community Midwives Project (Auspiced by Northern Metropolitan Community Health Service, South Australia)
The external evaluation of this Project commenced in 1999, following funding secured by Flinders University from The Australian Health Commission, Health Enhancement Research Grant and the School of Nursing at Flinders University.
Data collection ceased at the end of September 2001 when the Project secured permanent funding as a core service of the Northern Metropolitan Community Health Service.
