In November 2003, The Barossa Council responded positively to a request from Hon John Hill MP, Minister for Environment, when Councils throughout the state were approached to be involved in contributing to achieving targets for reducing plastic bag litter associated with checkout bags. The report details Council's activities and budget expenditure related to the project.
