Metropolitan Adelaide is a place of great prosperity, a city of parks, of trees, of remarkable architectural heritage, a city of culture, creativity, hospitality and a high quality of life. But it also has deep seated problems regarding sustainability. Policy makers and the general public need to jointly develop a much clearer understanding on how Adelaide can reduce its impact on the natural environment. Amongst other things, this report shows that a wide range of new businesses and many new job opportunities could be created from a steady increase in the efficiency of resource use.
