In September 2011 the department commenced a planning study to investigate the feasibility of a grade separated treatment at the existing Oaklands Park rail level crossing to provide a long term solution to traffic congestion issues in this location.
The planning study is now complete. Although the project is not funded at this stage, the planning study has identified a preferred option and a concept design has been prepared.
