Girls' participation in VET in schools is high, but they are over-represented in traditionally `feminine' courses, and the gender segregation of the workplace and the resulting pay differential is not being challenged. This research found that, while girls were in VET courses of their choice and expressed satisfaction with their education, the majority still imagined their futures in traditionally female occupations.
