Review of South Australian Equal Opportunity Legislation: A Framework Paper

In 2003 the Rann Government was concerned that amendments to South Australia's equal opportunity laws was long overdue. Whereas South Australia was once a leader in equal opportunity matters, it now lags behind other Australian jurisdictions. The aim of this review, therefore, was to have amended the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 by the end of 2004, so as to implement Labor Party policy on equal opportunity, to the extent that this requires legislation.
