The Department for Families and Communities (DFC) is committed to building the evidence base available through research, as well as using this evidence to improve services. It has an active program of priority-driven research; engages closely with the research sector; funds and partners in studies; and builds local knowledge and capacity. It has also developed innovative approaches to increase the dissemination and use of research.
