Role of the Workplace in Return to Work: Discussion Paper for the RTW Fund  [PDF]  (1,006.97K)

The Australian Institute for Social Research (AISR) at The University of Adelaide was commissioned by WorkCoverSA to undertake the RTW Fund evaluation.

This Discussion Paper provides an overview of research findings related to return-to-work, and of some guidelines, practical tools and examples considered to be most useful, from those reviewed, for organisations seeking to improve return to work following injury or illness.

This paper was originally developed as part of ongoing research on the role of the workplace in RTW, being undertaken by the AISR for WorkCoverSA. It is intended that this version of the discussion paper will assist WorkCoverSA plan for future rounds of the Return to Work Fund, and for RTW Fund Projects to understand the intrinsic role of the workplace in achieving RTW outcomes and their own goals.

The report is attached for your interest.
