This is the fourth edition of The Legal Rights of People with Intellectual Disability in South Australia, which was first written in 1987. Since that first edition there have been many changes to the law, including anti- discrimination legislation to protect people with intellectual disability at both the State and national level. This handbook serves to describe these changes and provide an overview of the legal rights of disabled people in South Australia.
