This report has been compiled to provide a baseline level of information to improve understanding of the size, composition and diverse nature of our older population in South Australia.

In particular, the report provides a foundation for Government to move towards a more strategic, evidence based approach to the funding of services to support older South Australians from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

Three main indicators of cultural and linguistic diversity are highlighted in this report:

  • Country of birth of person
  • Language spoken at home
  • Religious affiliation

The report is available online in three parts. To access the report visit the Office for Ageing website.
