Stimulating South Australia: Public Housing in South Australia & the Wider Impact of the Australian Government's Stimulus Package

Research commissioned by the Public Service Association identifies the employment and economic impacts of the Australian Government's stimulus package on South Australia with a particular focus on the public housing component of the package.

The report, compiled by the Australian Institute for Social Research, estimates that the stimulus in housing will generate:

  • a total of direct and indirect employment impact of 574 FTEs and

  • a total impact on economic activity or Gross State Product (GSP) of approximately $56.7 million.
