The purpose of this framework is to determine the preferred transport network option to cater for the increased urban development in the Gawler area resulting from the change to the Urban Growth Boundary (UGB).
Specifically the framework considers:
The need, preferred characteristics/route and timing for a potential new road link to provide increased access for Gawler East;
The need, preferred characteristics/route and timing for a potential north eastern link;
The need and scale of potential improvements to the existing road network (arterial and local) to supplement the above options (including heavy vehicle access);
The need and options for increased public transport infrastructure and/or services to cater for the increased urban development.
