The South Australian Labour Market (SALM) Profile provides a point in time snapshot of the labour market activities of South Australians. It attempts to quantify both the number of persons in the labour market (employed and unemployed) and those not participating in the labour force (marginally attached and not marginally attached).

It is hoped that the information contained in the SALM Profile will assist individuals, businesses and workforce development practitioners to gain a better understanding of the South Australian labour market and also the
barriers faced by some individuals when trying to access employment.

The SALM Profile has been produced for persons, males and females to enable gender comparisons.
