This report is about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who live in urban areas. Thus it contributes to filling the gap in literature and knowledge about the health and everyday life experience of urban Indigenous peoples. The Adelaide Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (AATSIH) study found that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in urban Adelaide were: * active participators in community groups * strongly connected to family and friends, particularly other Indigenous people * keen to have a positive neighbourhood environment * well integrated in their local communities, though there were still a small number of people who were quite socially isolated.
