Report of the Select Commitee on balancing work and life responsibilities

Select Committee on Balancing Work and Life Responsibilities

Full Image (10.78K)

The Select Committee's terms of reference, as agreed by the House of Assembly, were:
To inquire into how South Australians can balance work and life responsibilities, in particular:
(a) to identify best practice employment standards, which enable public and private sector workers to balance work and life responsibilities, including the care of dependants
(b) to identify economic development opportunities for South Australia as a result of flexible employment practices
(c) to examine the impact of state and federal industrial relations systems for South Australians seeking to achieve an appropriate work and life balance; and to consider any other
relevant matter.
The motion called on the Committee to report on 28 March 2007. However, due to the breadth and complexity of the terms of reference, this date was extended to 9 April 2008.
