Government of South Australia
Compiled by the staff of the Office for Women, A Two Way Conversation: Aboriginal Women Talking, Government Listening is the South Australian [SA] Government's official response to recommendations made at the Aboriginal Women's Gatherings that have been held annually in this State since they were first introduced in 2002. This collaborative document features contributions from a large number of departments across the SA Government.
This document reflects the strength and diversity of work that is happening across portfolios in South Australia. The recommendations that are addressed in this report are those very recommendations that have been made at the State Aboriginal Women's Gatherings from 2002 - 2005. They reflect a range of concerns about issues as diverse as the experiences and lives of the Aboriginal women who made them. From education to leadership, women's safety to health and well-being, there are very few areas that are not touched on by these recommendations and responses.
