The increase in poverty in South Australia is of great concern to SACOSS, and in the current economic climate there is a risk of complacency in tackling disadvantage. By updating our Blueprint, SACOSS aims to help shift government policy onto a more concerted and direct anti-poverty path.
SACOSS has identified five areas where action can be taken to tackle the fundamental causes of poverty in this state, and the Blueprint lists key issues and associated targets for each of these themes: Income; Employment, Education & Training; Health and Wellbeing; Housing; and Social Participation.
