The South Australian Family Home-Visiting program is a targeted 2-year intervention delivered by nurses to mothers of children aged 0 to 2 years. The program is designed to improve the short-term and longer-term health and wellbeing of mothers and young children. The present study will determine whether mothers and children who received the South Australian program have better outcomes when children are aged 5 years than a comparable group of mothers and children who did not receive the program.
