High quality workforce planning will be critical in maximising the social and economic benefits of expected jobs growth in the Eyre Peninsula over the next decade, according to a new workforce study. Launching the Workforce study for the Resources Sector in the Eyre Peninsula today in Whyalla, Training and Skills Commission Chair Adrian Smith said the report estimates more than 2200 jobs will be created in the Eyre Peninsula over the next 10 years if all seven local mines proceed to the operating phase.
