TEDxAdelaide Call for Speakers
Tuesday, 7 September 2010
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED, a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At the local event, TEDxAdelaide (x=independently organized TED event), TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. TEDxAdelaide will be held 6th November 2010, at RiAus at Science Exchange, Exchange Place, Adelaide. Organisers are busy preparing the program of speakers and are inviting people to speak at the event by making a short video explaining their ideas for a talk and how it ties into the theme of ideas worth spreading. Organisers are looking for passionate individuals with unusual ideas from a diverse range of backgrounds. TEDxAdelaide will be considering issues covering sustainability, design, personal histories, future cities, sex, creativity, dance, connectivity, entrepreneurship, disability, emerging technology, and perspectives on the world in which we live and more. Organisers will consider any idea that shows a) an alternative path to the future and that b) Adelaide is the place for ideas out of the ordinary. For more information about nominating yourself as a speaker and subitting your video please visit the Speakers webpage. For more information about the event visit the TEDxAdelaide website.
