The Training and Skills Commission invites you to comment on its Stakeholder Consultation Paper. It is intended that your responses will provide input towards the annual update of the Commission's five year plan, Skills for Jobs: Priorities for Developing South Australia's Workforce, which was released in December 2009.

As part of its 2010 plan, to be released in September, the Commission will explore six key topics which it believes are crucial to progressing the State's skills and workforce targets:

  1. Foundation skills
  2. Skills for the 'new economy'
  3. Completion rates
  4. Professional development for the tertiary workforce
  5. Recognition or prior learning
  6. Training packages

The five year plan is driven by industry input and is developed in conjunction with the Economic Development Board, the Social Inclusion Board, Industry Skills Boards and regional, community and industry groups.

To have your say, fill in the questions in any or all the sections of the consultation paper and email them back to: tasc@saugov.sa.gov.au by Wednesday, 12 May, 2010.
