This online project tracks government commitments to Anangu (Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara peoples) across remote parts of South Australia. The main goals of the project are to make it easier for Anangu to talk with governments as equal partners, make decisions from a position of knowledge and strength, and participate in broader policy debates about their future. As of June 2009, the project was tracking more than 90 state and federal government commitments to Anangu communities. The project pays particularly close attention to the State Government's response to the recommendations of the Mullighan Inquiry into child sexual abuse on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands. It also tracks how the Federal Government's commitment to `Close the Gap' is being enacted in South Australia's remote Anangu communities.
