With Sir Michael Tomlinson CBE FRSA
Sir Michael, who was knighted in the Queen's New Years Honours list, will outline key aspects of the 14-19 Curriculum and Qualifications Reform proposals that were presented to government in October 2004 and some of the issues and challenges they are designed to address.
Sir Michael's vision, insights and experience will be of special interest to all those concerned with secondary education reform, social inclusion, student retention, employment, training and further education in the South Australian context, and to the South Australian Government's SACE Review.
Sir Michael is President of the UK Association for Science Education. He was also Director of Inspection and Chief Inspector of Schools and contributed to inspection development in China and Mexico. Sir Michael helped to re-establish the school system in Kuwait following the Gulf War. He was awarded a CBE in June 1997.
Following Sir Michael's address there will be time for audience questions, comments and networking.
