What is Thinking On Two Wheels?
Increasingly, cycling is a popular competitive sport, means of transport, tourist activity and a means to stay fit and healthy. As more and more cyclists are using the roads as a means of transport, and more people are becoming cyclists, it is fitting that the University of South Australia, who sponsor a cycling team in the Jacob's Creek Tour Down Under, be at the forefront at conducting research, promoting debate and discussion on cycling issues concerned with health, recreation, tourism and sustainable transport.

Monday 17 January 2005

Thinking On Two Wheels comprises a one day seminar/workshop on Monday 17th January 2005, the day before the start of the Jacob's Creek Tour Down Under. The emphasis of the seminar presentations and the workshops will be to promote cycling as a healthy, fun activity that can directly encourage a sustainable transport system and sustainable lifestyle choice.

About the seminar
The seminar will comprise presentations which will be delivered by academic researchers and organisation representatives. You would be an ideal presenter or delegate at this seminar if your research or professional activities have led to insights into:

recreation

health

tourism, and

sustainable transport in relation to cycling
