Thursday, 23 September 2010, 6:00 pm
Free. Register at: http://www.unisa.edu.au/knowledgeworks/lectures/2010/lehmann23september.asp
Allan Scott Auditorium, Hawke Building, North Terrace, UniSA City West Campus

You are invited to a free public lecture with international urban sustainability expert Professor Steffen Lehmann. In this compelling lecture, Prof. Lehmann will discuss the need to build resilience in the design of new districts and more compact communities, and to reorganise the supply of construction materials through the reuse of building components and modular prefabrication of construction systems.

Internationally renowned architect and urban designer Prof. Lehmann leads an interdisciplinary team of researchers at UniSA, discovering and disseminating new knowledge on how cities will need to transform and grow, and how we can reduce consumption, to ensure sustainable urban development. Both behavioural change and resource related research are understood as major components of a low-to-no-carbon future.
