Department for Families and Communities is hosting a seminar on the implications and opportunities for new approaches to housing ownership, tenure and finance in Australia.
Professor Michael E. Stone, Ph.D., Professor of Community Planning and Public Policy University of Massachusetts Boston, will sketch the structural relationship between housing and financial crisis. He will introduce approaches to housing ownership, tenure and finance that could begin to overcome these structural problems, and simultaneously preserve and extend what are regarded as the positive benefits of homeownership while avoiding or overcoming the negative ones.
