Many young people in South Australia are experiencing the co existence of substance misuse, mental health as well as the lure of gambling. These issues cross over many sectors and present challenges to organizations and workers. Our sectors need to build their capacity on how to engage with these young people and increase our understanding of these issues. This workshop aims to do that.
In addition it will provide participants with the opportunity to discuss key issues in detail and help the Youth Affairs Council of SA and the SA Network of Drug & Alcohol Services to produce a discussion paper to help inform government policy in the areas youth services, and prevention and early intervention with the co morbidities of mental health, substance misuse and gambling.
