Registrations are now open for the SA Mental Health Conference 2009 . . .
Rights, Responsibilities and Rhetoric - unpacking the policy and practice issues in mental health law, guardianship and trusteeship.
The President, SA Guardianship Board, the Public Advocate, the Public Trustee, and the Chief Psychiatrist (SA Health) have joined forces to organise a mental health conference.
Mental health issues are a growing concern in the community. This conference will help practitioners to better face these and the related adult-protection issues in today's ever-changing society.
This conference brings together experts in their field, practitioners and consumers to examine current and potential future practice and service provision in the areas of guardianship, advocacy, the involuntary treatment of mental illness and trusteeship.
Rights, Responsibilities and Rhetoric will be a vibrant forum designed to facilitate the sharing of current mental health research and practice experiences.
