Documentary film maker Peter Wintonick's innovative use of cutting edge digital technology mixed with compelling, often politically engaged content has lead to international acclaim. He is most noted for co-producing and directing one of the most successful documentaries in Canadian history, Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media, which received no less than 22
awards. As a world leader on the thinking, philosophies and commentary concerning the impact of digital technologies on documentary practice, Peter's residency in Adelaide will develop policy, state wide strategy, networks and curricula while developing a pathway for South Australia to become a key player in the `digi doc' revolution.
Greg Mackie will provide a local arts perspective on the issues Peter raises and discuss what the public service can do to ensure his `thinking' is followed up with positive action in SA.
Join us for what promises to be a fascinating and thought provoking discussion.
